The Movie You Have to See This Easter

I’m a sucker for two things: Jim Caviezel and biblically accurate films, so I’m ecstatic to go to the theater this week with my husband and watch this movie, just in time for Easter!

When the Passion of the Christ came out, I was in middle school & while I liked the movie then, I enjoy it even more now. I also grew up watching a multi-dvd of the Gospel of John….which Jesus was played by Jim Caviezel! At the time, the only two choices Christians really had if they wanted to watch faith-related shows was 1. Cheesy heartfelt movies produced/written/directed by Stephen Kendrick or 2. Boeing historical documentaries.

Times have changed and the production of good Christian movies has only gotten better. That’s why I’m particularly excited about the Paul movie!

Do you guys remember Paul? He was a notorious persecutor of Christians turned to one of the most well-known bible character? He kept accurate details of his life and the life of Jesus & died in prison – funny, he started his life killing Christians and turned into a Christian himself, and died in prison.

The movie is set to release the 23rd, just one day away! Buy your tickets here if you don’t want to have to wait in the theater for the next showing because you didn’t preorder…like I did with Black Panther. I’d be cautious in taking your little ones since it is rated pg-13. Remember what happened when the Passion of the Christ released? Parents had to leave the theater because the movie was rated R and the specific display of Jesus’ torture and death was just too much for some.

I’ll let you guys know how my husband and I like the movie & Id love to hear how you like it too!
