With an average 4 star review, I looked forward to reading this. I don’t read much fiction and I’m pretty particular about what genres I like. This was a thriller, something I hardly ever read. I’m not sure if my inexperience reading thrillers effected my review, because it’s not a good one.
I felt really let down by this book. I read a review on Goodreads that said that I’d kind of guess the end of the book and I’d be sort of right…and then bam! It would end in such a crazy way that I would verbally shout something along the lines of, “Oh my gosh, really?”
And that’s exactly what happened.
I sort of got the feeling right off the bat what the three characters where dealing with – Louise, a single mom who gets involved with her married boss, David. David is married to Adele and while at first they seem like the perfect couple, it’s becomes very clear that there are big issues between the husband and wife.
I’m not going to spoil the plot, but nothing can prepare you for the ending and I’m actually really displeased with this fiction thriller.
