A challenge our family often has is being able to find quality shows or movies that we can enjoy without worrying about the content – to be able to pop something on that is kind and God-glorifying is something we are always searching for. Some of the things we rotate through are Superbook, The Lamplighters, God’s Not Dead series, Little House on the Prairie, VeggieTales, etc.
With this on our hearts all of the time, I jumped at the opportunity to watch and review a new kids series called The Garden. My son and I snuggled on the couch to watch their Christmas episode. Friends, I’m not kidding, it’s such a cute series. The main goal is to not just entertain kids, but to teach them the word of God!
“The Garden” is a Christ-centered children’s cartoon series aimed at teaching your kids the Gospel in a way they can understand. We watched Lenny the Lion and Lucy the Lamb work inside a magical garden where anything can grow. Each story revolves around them having to accomplish their goals by learning a Bible story or an original song. We felt we were right along in their adventures too!

The show is designed with such care, but I felt the characters seemed so familiar, the artwork didn’t feel completely original….but that’s when I learned that The Garden is created by Butch Hartman, the creator of iconic Nickelodeon shows like The Fairly Odd-Parents, and that’s when it clicked.
The Garden has 40 episodes, original songs, and an upcoming kids app (so excited for that!). You can watch it on Pureflix or YippieTV, we have Pureflix.

My friends, remember that I don’t ever put anything on here that I don’t recommend, use, or watch. Our family has adding The Garden to our list of trustworthy shows to watch. On behalf of Garden Productions, I’m delighted to offer you a chance to win a $10 Amazon gift card, I’ve created a super simple way for you to enter (I used to have you comment on my blog, but many have reported issues).
Merry Christmas!
