We talk a lot about working mothers juggling daily tasks or the difficulty of being a stay-at-home parent…but what about the work-from-home mom? What about the work-from-home mom with children still in diapers?
A book signing is an important part of publishing a book, but most authors don’t realize that they are not only the writers, but the salesmen. Promoting a book is hard work and when I was asked to join the Threshold’s annual author event, I spent weeks preparing. Here’s a little look into the event that happened yesterday.
Hi beautiful ones! I’m working hard on my Goodreads challenge and I think I’m going to beat my “Read 24 Books in 2018” goal. This month I read 5 books & I’d love to share that with you.
Every year, I join the Goodreads Reading Challenge – picking the number of books I’d like to read during the year. For 2017, I wanted to try and read 12 books. I am on book 25 now & I’d like to share them all with you. From Mara Wilson to Stormie Omartian, I stayed up late & surpassed my goal!
This Sunday, our sweet 5 month old will be dedicated to the Lord (Luke 2:21-40). When “F” is old enough to understand Jesus & all His glory, we will encourage him to pursue baptism. As baptism is a personal, public decree of believing & surrendering your life to God, we do not feel that babies need to be baptized (that’s a whole other post). My baptism was not special to me because I don’t remember it & I didn’t have a choice. At a later time, both my husband and I plan on getting re-baptized, but for now, we are just focusing on getting our son dedicated.
Anyways, to mark the special occasion, we wanted to gift our baby with a small gift as a way to remember this special day.
